Plug the "MT10 Mini Timer" into an electrical outlet and set it to the desired house code and adjust the time. Your Mini Timer is operational now. You can directly control up to 8 X10 modules by its keyboard. In addition, there are also keys for the X10 commands All Lights On, All Units Off, Dim and Bright. The integrated timer allows the setting of switching times for up to 4 different X10 modules. For every module you can programme 2 switch-on and 2 switch-off times and with its "Sleep" function you can let it switch off X10 modules automatically (in 15 minute steps). In the "Security" mode the MT10 feigns your presence, in which it switches X10 modules on and of randomly. Of course you can use the MT10 also like a conventional alarm clock.
The "SW10 Shutter Switches" are mounted and connected according to the enclosed manual in in-wall boxes. Now you have to programme the runtimes for opening and closing the shutters. Adjust the coding switches for the house and unit code according to your wishes and you are done. That's it, you have managed your start into the energy-saving and comfortable world of home automation!
