Depending on your application, the X10 Universal Module can close a contact momentarily when an ON signal is sent, or indefinitely until an OFF signal is sent. It can even beep when responding to signals, if you want.
If you have electronic devices that cannot adequately be controller by a standard appliance or lamp module, you can use this UM7206 relay module. It has a standard low-voltage relay which is controlled by X10 signals. The Universal Module is used to control devices that would normally operate on low voltages, such as curtain controls, window openers, garden sprinkler systems,... This module can be used, for example, to switch a hi-fi amplifier onto different sets of loudspeakers.
The unit has a built-in beeper that can be used as an annunciator or additional wake up alarm when used with a Mini Timer Controller. It can be set to operate for momentary or sustained contact closure. The contacts are rated at 5A at 24VDC or 10A at 30VAC.
